What is Spot it Up?

Spot it Up is based on a simple idea: talk about what you like with people nearby, quickly and easily.

How do I use it?

  1. Come to the site.
  2. Focus the map to where you want to look for discussions.
  3. Search for discussions (“spots”) tagged with you want to talk about.
  4. Click on spots, and speak your mind.

Or…

  1. Click anywhere you want to add a spot.
  2. Add as many tags as you want, so people can find it.

Anything else?

Nope! The site is very simple. Here are the last important parts:

What do all the settings do?

At the top of the page, you will see a button with three bars across it: this shows the site's settings menu.

How do I log in?

Right now, you don't.

For easy access, you can start using the website as soon as you arrive.

Down the line, an optional login will be implemented, but you are free to use the site casually without having to bother with a registration.

Don't want to fear being harassed or stalked? Want to get a friend to try out the service?

Forgot your password?

Don't worry about it: you can always engage the community as easily as you can load the page.

How much personal information gets recorded?

No part of Spot it Up logs information that could tie a person to something posted: this site respects privacy; and couldn't even reasonably store that kind of thing, anyway.

Honestly, this site is held up by duct tape and dreams, right now. Spying is beyond its ability.

What happens to old spots?

They get deleted from the server, as though they never existed. Spots only live for a week, at the most.

And Remember

The world is yours. Spot it up.
